Like this protester outside Chris Madrid’s last week, a reader scoffs at the notion that Beto O’Rourke would make an effective governor.When Nelson Wolff announced his retirement as Bexar County judge, I was saddened. His leadership, particularly these past few years during the pandemic, was even-handed, wise and consistent.
The ad was far worse than “beyond the pale,” as you described it. The ad is misleading and offensive, and it smacks of hopelessness and dirty politics. I questioned her campaign on this, and the answer was that they believed it was no less offensive than the third-party negative attack ads against her. But Sakai has said he has neither created nor endorsed those ads.
The Express-News should report the news and keep its choices off the Editorial Page unless you can validate the use of “our” results.You at least owe it to your readers to explain why you made those choices.The Express-News Editorial Board has a long history of recommending candidates. This is the worst candidate the Democratic Party has ever proposed. O’Rourke is a smooth talker, but he’s not qualified to run the state of Texas. What a “wonderful” legacy.
