Re: “Proposal calls slavery ‘involuntary relocation’ — Idea for social studies curriculum goes to Board of Education,” July 1 Metro & Business story.
Case in point, the nine “educators” suggesting the State Board of Education substitute the term “involuntary relocation” for the traditional slavery word in second grade social studies would make the kids feel less “discomfort.” Who are these people? Talk about aWhat, if anything, is going on in their heads? Of course they were trying to purge the school curriculum of any topics which might make students “feel discomfort” as mandated by our state legislators.
