“Breaking Report” on Ken Paxton’s acquittal, my first reaction was, “I can’t believe it.” And then quickly, with great sadness and grave concern, I realized, no, it’s really so easy to believe.When organizations are allowed to threaten the senators who were voting, and when so many of those senators are already on a path of self-service rather than public service, the outcome will always be that those in power win. So, sorry about the truth, justice and the rest of you.
And then Paxton had the audacity to say, “Today, the truth prevailed.” Maybe he’s working on a second career as a stand-up comic. Let’s hope so.It is so refreshing to see that the court of media opinions can be rebuffed by the facts. After listening to the Paxton impeachment closing arguments, it seemed to me that the whistleblowers were disloyal and unhappy staffers attempting to oust their boss.
Hunter Biden has been indicted on gun charges, and perhaps dad has tried to shield him from harm, but please, let’s get on with the business of securing our borders and lowering this insidious inflation.series on the heartbreak of fentanyl poisoning has been excellent. These are the agendas we need to address.The Texas Republican Senate impeachment members have “graciously” reminded us what the “R” really stands for: revenge and retribution. What a sad day for the citizens of Texas.
When I got those stamps, it dawned on me that these were the first postage stamps I ever had with the picture of someone I shook hands with. I then looked down at my right hand and reflected on the various notable people whom I have shaken hands with: The Rev. Jesse Jackson, former Sen. Bill Bradley, former U.S. Archivist John Carlin, former Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman, former secretary of Health and Human Services Mike Leavitt, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr., Texas Gov.
A large number of residents are funded by Medicaid, which pays so little that homes risk not breaking even on these residents. Higher reimbursement is needed in order to recruit and hire more staff. Congress should fix this as a start.
