Li-Cycle, a leader in lithium-ion battery recycling, will stop the construction of the facility at Eastman Business Park in Greece. "This is frankly shocking," says Congressman Joe Morelle. "We've been promoting this program for a while now." According to state and federal officials, the difficulties arose from internal financial woes, as Li-Cycle has not yet received any federal funding for the project. Bello says he is concerned, but optimistic that the project will right its course once finances are figured out.
