Henley-in-Arden falls within the Stratford-on-Avon constituency, where former Tory Chancellor Nadim Zahawi currently has a majority of nearly 20,000. The Lib Dem leader attempted a range of low ropes-style obstacles on his visit to the West Midlands seat, most of which he failed in spectacular fashion.
Connecting all these bizarre photo-opportunities, is the hope for the Lib Dems that they will take those areas from the Tories at July 4's general election. His light-hearted approach to campaigning has seen the Lib Dems gain support among younger voters, who have made jokes about his various stunts onlineOn Monday, Sir Ed launched his party's manifesto, when he said the party's 'long-term' goal was returning the UK to 'the heart of Europe'
However, cutting through far more than any of the actual policies, has been Sir Ed's novel approach to campaigning, billed by Lib Dem frontbencher Munira Wilson as an 'adrenaline-fuelled extreme sports tour of the UK'.
