LIDL bosses have shared their delight over receiving"so much support" for a new store in Glasgow's East End.
We previously reported that the supermarket got the go-ahead to build a branch on a former bus depot site in Dalmarnock.Lidl's new and modern store represents a multi-million-pound investment and will create around 40 new jobs for the local community.The supermarket will feature the much-loved in-store bakery, customer toilets with baby changing facilities as well as parking for cars, bicycles and electric vehicle charging.
Gordon Rafferty, Lidl GB’s regional head of property, said: “It has been great to see our plans get the green light and receive so much support from the people of Dalmarnock. "This will mark a multi-million-pound investment in the area, and the creation of new jobs when the store opens. "We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their encouragement as we look forward to bringing a much-needed discount supermarket with high-quality produce to the area."
