confirmed that 13 people were injured after a Long Island Rail Road train derailed in Queens on Thursday morning.
The train, which was going around 54 miles per hour, had all eight of its cars derail near 175th Street and 93rd Avenue. Authorities say that 13 people were injured in the derailment. Nine of the injuries are said to be minor, with two moderate and another two serious, but all victims are expected to recover.
