The plans drawn up for Littlehampton in 2016 include a water play area and a pop-up market.
By Thomas HanwayPlans for a £7.2m seafront regeneration project have been submitted by a Sussex council.
The proposals to improve the seafront in Littlehampton, West Sussex, were originally drawn up by Arun District Council in 2016.The money has been secured from levelling-up funding provided by central government. East Beach, South Terrace, Banjo Road and Windmill Road in the town are all earmarked for improvements.
A public consultation held in October 2022 found more than 70% of respondents approved each of the designs in the plan, which includes social spaces for picnics, new planting and new toilet facilities. ADC wants the proposals to go before the planning committee in December, and hopes work will start in 2024.
