A monumental crash of thunder that jolted the Berkeley area awake was caught on camera.
Berkeley residents quickly took to Nextdoor and social media to ask if anyone saw the lightning strike, with many commenting their power flickered and car alarms on their streets were blaring. At least two strikes were recorded in Berkeley at 12:20 a.
m., one in Northside near the hills and another closer to downtown. The lightning strike captured by the falcon cam was taken by a camera pointing north of downtown Berkeley. No injuries were reported as a result of the tumultuous weather Thursday night.
