BREAKING Killers of Blackpool dad Mark Gibson caged for 92 years - updates
Four people who murdered Blackpool dad Mark Gibson in a savage street attack in Blackpool have been jailed for 92 years this afternoon .were found guilty of Mr Gibson's murder following a trial at Preston Crown CourtDuring the trial the jury heard the five acted as 'an out of control mob' when they set upon Mr Gibson, 52, in Carshalton Road, in the early hours of July 11 last year.
Emergency services arrived at the scene to find Mr Gibson with a severe stab wound to his shoulder. He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital but was pronounced dead. During the trial, Pugh confessed he had inflicted the fatal wound on Mr Gibson during the minute-long attack but refused to give any further information about the incident. The jury concluded he acted together with Neil, Walton and Steel in a joint enterprise, intending to cause their victim really serious harm.
Chadwick was also found to have taken part in the incident. But the jury did not find his intention to cross the threshold for murder. Mr Justice Linton will hand down life sentences to Pugh, Walton, Neil and Steel, setting a minimum term before each can apply for parole.
