LATEST: One person has been taken to hospital
A turnoff from the Beltany Road has been closed while emergency services deal with the collision.The collision was reported on Wednesday afternoon on a stretch of road near the Ulster American Folk Park.One person has been taken to Altnagelvin Hospital for treatment to their injuries."Police and other emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision on the Beltany Road, Newtownstewart," a spokesperson confirmed.
"The turn off to Newtownstewart has been temporarily closed to traffic and diversions are in place for motorists. "One person taken to hospital The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service confirmed one person had been taken to hospital following the collision. "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 12:56 on Wednesday, 10 May 2023 following reports of an incident in the Mellon Road Area, Omagh," a spokesperson said."Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital by ambulance."
