A substantial amount of flights to and from Belfast airports have been cancelled or delayed this Bank Holiday Monday.
It's due to a wider "technical issue" affecting air traffic control systems in the UK identified by the UK's leading provider of air traffic control services, National Air Traffic Services . The issue has now been "identified and remedied" with engineers working to bring a return to normal operations, but the technical issue is continuing to impact air travel across the UK, as passengers face major delays.Both Belfast International Airport and Belfast City Airport have reported delays and cancelations to flights, with the airports urging passengers to check their flight status with their airlines before travelling to the airport.
