The road closure was put in place on Thursday morning.
The A8 road has been closed between the Sandyknowes roundabout and the roundabout on the Ballyclare Road in Belfast.Police have not as yet given a reason for the closure.The move could have knock-on effects from what is a busy Belfast road.
