Entrepreneur and political newcomer Vivek Ramaswamy came under attack from Republican rivals, including former vice president Mike Pence, for his lack of political experience during the first presidential debate. Pence said it’s not time for “on the job training." They are among eight Republican presidential contenders — minus the front-runner, former president Donald Trump — debating in Milwaukee.
The other participants are North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, former New Jersey governor Chris Christie, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley, former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson and Sen. Tim Scott .The debate is airing on Fox News and the Fox Business Network as well as on Fox’s website and other streaming and digital platforms.on Twitter shortly before the debate.
