Latest Liverpool transfer news and gossip as the Reds could be about to earn millions thanks to a deal that was struck more than five years ago
Liverpool could be handed a welcome financial boost thanks to one of their former players. The Reds are yet to sanction the sales of any of their current stars or make any new permanent signings to their squad. One player who could be on the move, though, is former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke . The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move this summer after scoring 21 goals in all competitions for Bournemouth last season, including 19 in the Premier League .
Should the striker complete a move to North London, it would see Liverpool receive a welcome financial boost. Liverpool sold Solanke to Bournemouth in January 2019 in a deal worth £19million, which would have seen current Fenway Sports Group CEO of football Michael Edwards as part of the negotiations. As part of that agreement, the Reds included a 20 percent sell-on clause which entitles Liverpool to a portion of the profit the Cherries receive from a future fee from selling Solanke.
