Liverpool may not land Anthony Gordon this summer but Eddie Howe has opened the door for the forward's potential exit
With less than two weeks to go until the transfer window slams shut, one of the summer's most protracted sagas is, for now at least, winding to a close. Liverpool's interest in Anthony Gordon has occupied plenty of column inches over the past few months, having gone close to capturing the Newcastle United forward in June.
'There’s not necessarily financial pressures to lose anybody before the end of this window,' Howe told reporters. 'But player trading is key, and we have to trade players out as well as players in. That’s not necessarily in the next two weeks. But certainly, within the next window, that’s what we’ll have to do.
