Team news confirmed as Liverpool play the first of two friendlies on Sunday
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk all start for Liverpool as Arne Slot gears up for the first of two Anfield friendlies on Sunday. Alexander-Arnold was a European Championship finalist with England and only returned to training at the AXA Centre this week but is back in the side alongside goalkeeper Alisson and Luis Diaz, who were both involved at the Copa America, with Brazil and Colombia respectively.
Diaz is on the left of the front three with Diogo Jota central and Mohamed Salah on the right flank, continuing on from the three games in the United States where the Reds beat Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Columbia, respectively. Alexis Mac Allister also makes his first appearance of the summer after winning the Copa America with Argentina with Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch also selected in the midfield.
