Liverpool have pleaded with supporters no longer planning to attend this weekend's Merseyside derby to return their tickets as the club looks to offer solutions to its ongoing Anfield Road saga.
A number of fans purchased tickets for the Reds' 2023 home fixtures when a bulk sale took place ahead of the season in July. Those individuals have now been left unable to attend as planned, with Anfield continuing to operate at a reduced capacity until 2024. "Tickets had been sold in good faith, in the expectation that the upper tier would at least be partially open from the Everton game onwards, but that has not been possible.
