Liverpool have been urged to sign Victor Osimhen as a replacement for Mohamed Salah
Liverpool legend Steve Nicol has tipped the Reds to replace Mohamed Salah with a big-money talent, stating: "He would be fantastic."
Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has been the star player at Anfield. However, rumours of his departure have been circulating, particularly now that Jurgen Klopp is leaving. Salah's departure would leave a significant void in the team. He has consistently topped the club's goalscoring charts every season since he arrived in Merseyside. Nicol insists that if Liverpool are to bring in a new face, they must replace him with a prolific striker.
Nicol also suggested that signing Osimhen, who has helped Napoli win Serie A, would mean Darwin Nunez would have to play in a wider role. Although Nunez, the former Benfica man, has shown promise, his finishing has been criticised, while Osimhen has proven himself to be ruthless in front of goal.
