, the singer, flutist, and overall musical force signed a first-look deal with Amazon Studios to “develop and produce” a TV show. There’s no word what the show will be about, when it will air, or if it will star Lizzo herself — sometimes the best surprises happen when you wait and see.
During a Zoom announcement, the “Good as Hell” singer said she is “so excited to partner with the amazing team at Amazon.” She also thanked the team for the opportunity, which she called a “dream come true. I can’t wait to get started and share my vision with the world.”, echoed Lizzo’s excitement. “Lizzo is one of the most exciting, creative, joyful artists in the industry, and it is such a pleasure to announce this new deal with her,” she said, per Deadline.
Of course, Lizzo is no stranger to creating compelling content — with or without the backing of a major TV studio. In June, shethat quickly went viral: In it, she chronicled her day-to-day wellness routine, and reminded people that her ideal body type is “none of your f*cking business.” “I am beautiful, I am strong, I do my job, and I stay on my job,” she said in the clip. That job now includes a major deal with a major company. Consider the mic dropped.
