Susan and Glen were part of the MVA for years together. Penner became “a ‘founding father’ of Meewasin when he supported a motion to make the City of Saskatoon a partner in the organization,” Susan wrote in a condolence board message.

Penner was born in Dodsland on July 20, 1940, before moving in 1948 with his family to Saskatoon. He attended Wilson elementary school and City Park Collegiate, developing a love for hockey, baseball and debate.Article content
