Frederick “Freddy” Bobbitt Jr., was 54 years old
A veteran and beloved Fremont police captain died unexpectedly Monday, police said.
He was 54 and lived in San Joaquin County. He attended high school in Fremont and, according to city spokeswoman Geneva Bosques “knew everybody, and had a personal connection with everybody.” “After that, every time he’d comment on something I’d post about her , he would would put a picture of a fly,” Bosques said by phone Tuesday. “He made that kind of personal connection with everyone he came across.”
“He was all that everybody said he was,” Bosques said. “He was an extremely kind human being to people and this is just devastating to so many people.”
