LooseWomen stars 'gutted' as key panellist quits ITV show after 20 years
Since announcing her explosive exit from Loose Women after 20 years, Carol McGiffin has received huge support from her co-stars.
The panel were left 'gutted' after the news but were quick to show their love on social media, following an interview with Best magazine and a post on Carol's Instagram page."Carol, I always enjoy when you are on as we have such a laugh, but you of course must always do what is best for you! I really hope I get to see you again love you lots lovely lady. Keep Smiling," wrote Brenda Edwards.
"And I know it looks like I've thrown my toys out of the pram, but the whole saga was affecting my health. When ITV were contacted they did not want to comment. However, it is understood that following HMRC changes in 2021, the responsibility of assessing whether a role is employed or self-employed for tax purposes now sits with employers. As a result ITV updated its contracting policy to ensure it complied with the new HMRC legislation.
