Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid surprised viewers when she interrupted Lorraine Kelly's show, Lorraine, with a "breaking news flash" on Monday, March 25. As Tyler West's entertainment chat with Lorraine faded away, the camera switched to Susanna who was backstage.
Susanna then let slip that Tyler West and Dr Hilary were in on the surprise, and the current segment was just a trick to keep Lorraine clueless. "Just a few seconds and I'll break into Lorraine for her very own Lorraine moment," Susanna said as she neared the studio. As the studio doors swung open, Susanna greeted a taken aback Lorraine: "Good Morning Lorraine, this has come as an enormous surprise, I'm very sorry but the conversation you were having with Tyler just then was a ruse because I have a very special announcement for you Lorraine Kelly.", reports Wales Online.
