A Harahan, La., woman has been charged with murder after the body of her boyfriend’s daughter was found inside a 10-gallon bucket left outside the home of the girl’s mother.
According to Jefferson Parish Joseph Lopinto, the grisly discovery was made Wednesday morning outside the home in Harahan -- a suburb of New Orleans. Coroner Gerry Cvitanovich said the girl -- identified as Bella Fontenelle -- was the victim of a homicide and died from “multiple injuries,” but did not elaborate on those injuries, citing the ongoing investigation.
Lopinto said the girl’s father notified Harahan police Wednesday morning after he awoke to find both Landon and Bella were missing. Police came to the home to begin a missing person investigation. Lopinto said investigators were able to locate multiple surveillance videos from the father’s neighborhood which show a woman pulling a wagon with a white bucket inside just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night. The woman is headed in the direction of the home where the bucket with the girl’s body was found.that Landon had been charged with simple battery for allegedly attacking Bella’s mother at Riverside Country Club in Harahan in June 2021.
