LSU entered the tournament as the No. 5 seed and made it to the finals after knocking off Wake Forest. Florida on the other hand, entered as the No. 2 seed and captured a win against TCU to advance to the championship.
This will be the first meeting between the two teams since March 2022. Last time they met, LSU took a 2-1 series win against the Gators. Since 2016, however, Florida has a 9-7 advantage against the Tigers across their 16 meetings.
