Star Wars Celebration 2023 had some big news about Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, with a big hint that Lucasfilm thinks Indy 5 is great.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny isn't even out yet and Lucasfilm has already sneakily told us they think that it's genuinely brilliant. Harrison Ford, who's played the globe-trotting archeologist for over forty years will be donning his signature brown fedora and cracking his trusty bullwhip for one final adventure.

Mangold has a track record of successful films in almost every cinematic genre, from indie dramas and musical biopics to biopics Ford v Ferrari, Westerns , and superhero neo-noirs .
Of course, it's worth noting that Lucasfilm has made similar announcements before, but the situation with Mangold's movie is markedly different. Lucasfilm intended to make a trilogy of movies with Rian Johnson, which never manifested after Star Wars: The Last Jedi's disappointing returns at the box office. But with Mangold's Star Wars entry, on the other hand, Lucasfilm has at least gotten far enough in its plans to offer up some concrete details.
Indiana Jones & The Dial Of Destiny Really Does Look & Sound Great Based on the trailers seen before SWCE 2023, the footage descriptions, and the announcement that it's going to premier at Cannes, Indiana Jones 5 has the potential to be a hit for the studio.
After the disappointment of the fourth film, it's clear that nostalgia alone isn't enough to sustain another Indiana Jones movie, and that even with all the franchise's mythological tendencies, the next movie needs to be grounded in reality. At the same time, though, it still needs to be entertaining and strike a fine balance between the humor, action, romance, and adventure that the franchise has always been known for.
