, the Kenyan-Mexican actress embraced the more-is-more decade above the neck while wearing an animal-print set by London-based label Eki Orleans.
With her sculptural braids cast in a winding updo by hairstylist Vernon François, Nyong’o wore an equal parts luminous and tonal makeup look that channeled the flair of “’80s disco glam,” says her makeup artist Nick Barose, who referenced the era’s runway, magazine covers, and photographs of Whiney Houston while conceptualizing the look.
