“It is really cool to have costumes at the hospital because I like to dress up and see special characters sometimes and I think the kids will too,” said Lyndee Adey, 10, who spent the first three months of her life in the neonatal intensive care unit.
The nonprofit was founded by Copley residents Amanda and Nate Adey in February of 2022.
Experiencing the magic of the moment herself, Adey set out to find an organization that dispatches superheroes to hospitals on an as-needed basis, only to find there were none. Lyndee Adey, now 10, and her brother Maverick, now 8, smile for the camera on a visit to Akron Children's Hospital.
