Marks and Spencer's shoppers are buying the iconic Colin the Caterpillar cake as it seems the chocolate cake has had a spooky makeover this autumn - just in time for Halloween.

Marks and Spencer fans are going wild after the supermarket confirmed they have brought back its Yummy Mummy Colin the Caterpillar cake. And you can get your hands on it just in time for Halloween.

Priced at £12, the limited edition cake was first introduced last year and proved to be a huge hit with customers. The cake is a chocolate sponge roll filled with chocolate buttercream. It is covered in a generous layer of milk chocolate and another layer of creamy white chocolate. All of the decorations on Colin are edible and the cake, many will be relieved to know, is suitable for vegetarians. So far, the Yummy Mummy Colin the Caterpillar cake has a 4.1 stars out of five on Ocado with 83 percent of users saying they would recommend the product to a friend. After it was revealed that the Yummy Mummy cake would be returning, hundreds of Facebook users rushed to comment their happiness. One said: "Remember this from last year. Other users appeared to prefer the regular Colin the Caterpillar cake and didn't like the addition of white chocolate. One said: "It looks like a witchetty grub", according to Birmingham Live, with another saying the same.If the white chocolate 'Mummy' Colin the Caterpillar cake isn't for you, M&S is still selling their normal Colin cake for £9. For anyone looking for a cheaper alternative, Aldi is selling Cuthbert the Caterpillar cakes for £5.49.
