A number of sections of motorway will be closed this week
Motorways in Lancashire will see closures this week as National Highways continue to repair the regions road. Drivers could be hit with major delays because of ongoing schemes across the network.
The work involves resurfacing 15km of carriageway, replacing road markings, road studs, traffic count loops and bridge joints. These essential repairs will enable our customers to get from A to B safely and reliably.Essential work is taking place to replace joints on the bridge section of the A684 that spans the M6 at junction 37. Work started on January 14 and is expected to end on Thursday .
Road users will be diverted to junction 36 of the M6. Local diversion routes will not be advertised. In addition to this, a further road closure will take place on Thursday.
