James Maddison makes heartfelt apology to Leicester fans for costly mistake LCFC
Leicester star James Maddison has apologised to fans after a shocking mistake cost them the match against Bournemouth.
With the managerless side 19th in the table, it handed one of their relegation rivals a crucial victory and Maddison was crestfallen at full-time.“We knew it was a big game and didn’t try and dress it up as anything else. We’ve worked really hard. I made a sloppy mistake and it cost us. I am very low.
“I’ll be sad tonight and probably tomorrow but we’ll get going again on Monday. It is so important we stay positive.“It is not brilliant for us in terms of results and performances aren’t quite there at the moment but it is important the fans stick with us.“There is still a long way to go. It is tight down there. I would have preferred to win today. It wasn’t a make-or-break. There are still plenty of points to play for.
