He further recalled:"When we took the difficult decision to undertake the mission, I knew that I wanted to be there myself, and we scrapped together pretty much any information that we had.
"Some of the footage of Mike on the mountain I had never seen before, because that was Dave Rodney's footage – I didn't know him.
