The firm is known for developing Hotel Saint Vincent and The Drifter Hotel in New Orleans, among other projects, and is part of the team developing the Mountain Chalet hotel in Aspen, Colo.
This property, which includes the Magic City Grille restaurant, at 2201 to 2205 Third Avenue North, is on the market in downtown Birmingham. A New Orleans real estate and development company has acquired two historic downtown Birmingham properties.
The First Avenue North property, built in 1903, is a 10,000-square-foot two-story building, along with two parking lots. The properties were acquired in partnership with GBX Group, a Cleveland, Ohio-based historic preservation real estate firm. “Birmingham is an incredible city with a great history, and we are really excited to invest in the market,” CEO Zach Kupperman said. “Historic preservation is a major focus for us. These buildings are well positioned for a historic redevelopment and we are looking forward to being part of the city’s urban revival.”
