Rail passengers face disruption in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire after two separate incidents involving vehicle crashes. East Midlands Railway confirmed at around 8am on Wednesday, November 13, that a road vehicle collided with a bridge near
This is disrupting trains on the Liverpool / Nottingham / Norwich and Nottingham / Skegness routes. Earlier in the morning, a crash also took place at a level crossing in Hubberts Bridge, causing heavy traffic and disruption to rail services. East Midlands Railway's website states: "A road vehicle has collided with a bridge at Grantham. This is disrupting our trains on the Liverpool / Nottingham / Norwich and Nottingham / Skegness routes. Network Rail are on site and have advised there is some damage to the bridge and services cannot run."
The Grantham incident is also causing traffic issues on the road. Lincolnshire Police has been approached for more information.
