The Bay Fair BART Station in San Leandro was closed Wednesday afternoon after a person on the tracks apparently hit by a train.
SAN LEANDO — What officials described as a major medical emergency shut down the Bay Fair BART station on Wednesday afternoon.
Initial reports were that a person on the tracks had been hit by a train just before 1 p.m. but their condition was not immediately available.BART issued a statement just before 1 p.m. that there was a station closure at Bay Fair in the Dublin/Pleasanton, Berryessa, Richmond and Daly City directions due to the emergency.
