Two people ended up in court
Loose cannabis and growing equipment were found inside a house where people were seen attending "at all times of day". Police raided a semi-detached house in Boundary Road, Beeston, which was reportedly used for drug dealing.
Upon entry into the property, officers smelt cannabis - and a small cannabis farm was discovered in the loft. Steven Palmer, aged 35, of no fixed address, and Lizzie Young, aged 32, of Boundary Road, Beeston, were subsequently interviewed and charged over the findings. Both appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday for sentencing. Palmer, who pleaded guilty to the production and supply of cannabis, was jailed for 15 months. Young was handed a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 21 months, after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.

We regularly conduct intelligence-led warrants to stop offenders in their tracks and disrupt drug dealing operations." Young people can also pass on information about crime anonymously, using a secure online form through the youth service Fearless - part of Crimestoppers.
