The 28-year-old man accused of shooting a police officer during a lengthy standoff near downtown Anchorage was indicted this week on multiple counts, including attempted murder.

Officers responded to the address on a report that Spring assaulted another tenant with a hammer, police said. The officer was shot when he and others made entry into the apartment and an exchange of gunfire ensued. Eubank has been with the department since June 2016, police spokeswoman Renee Oistad said. Oistad said police are not releasing any information regarding his medical condition.
