Mike Pence definitely “can’t wait,” and isn’t scared to face Kamala Harris in debates: “It’s on”
Photo: Fox News Vice-President Mike Pence reacted last night to the idea that he will eventually have to face off with Kamala Harris in upcoming vice-presidential election debates.
With characteristic charm during an appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show, Pence exuded the confidence and swagger of a former Men’s Warehouse mannequin when asked about Biden tapping Harris, whose career has been marked by a string of notable debate performances and passionate congressional hearing appearances.
“I think she is a skilled debater,” Pence said, his red, red tie reflecting off his white, white head, mouth set and eyebrows raised in a grim approximation of a smile. “But I can’t wait to get to Salt Lake City and be on the stage with her — to compare Joe Biden’s nearly 50 years in public life, the agenda of the radical left, the agenda that she’s embraced throughout her political career with the results of this president and this administration.
Yes, it was certainly the cool and collected response of a man confident he does not approach public speaking like a funeral director, who is not known for being refused a kiss by his very own wife on stage and for accidentally hitting a child in the face during a press conference. “It’s on, Sean,” Pence reiterated, dragging out the rhyme in a kind of dirge. “I can’t wait to get back out there.”
