Man charged after guns found buried in Manchester park
A man has been charged after guns were found buried in a Manchester park. Ashley Townley, 34, of Victoria Avenue, Blackley, has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a firearm when prohibited for life.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today. A 44-year-old woman has been released on bail pending further inquiries. The charges follow the discovery of a British Army issue S80 assault rifle, and a handgun found buried in a holdall in Broadhurst Park, Moston, on January 31st this year.
