Cyclist Una Brandreth was sadly pronounced dead at the scene in the Bearsden area of the city.
Cops scrambled to Drymen Road in Bearsden after being alerted to the incident at around 8:10am on Tuesday, March 19. Una Brandreth, 56, from Stafford in England was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Una's family released a statement following the tragedy, they said: “Una was a much loved sister, mother, and daughter, and will be much missed by everyone who knew her. “We would like to say that we are massively grateful to all the emergency services that were involved in this tragic incident and to everybody else that stopped to help Una.”
"The incident happened around 8.10am on Tuesday, 19 March, 2024, at the junction with Manse Road and involved a lorry and a cyclist. The cyclist, a 56-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
