ANTIOCH – A 46-year-old man is facing murder and attempted murder charges in connection with a shooting last month in Antioch, police said.May 25 around 8:45 p.m. in the 4400 block of Delta Fair Boulevard. Officers arrived to find a 43-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds. The man survived, but the woman died of her injuries.
Detectives with the Antioch Police Department identified the suspect as Brian Yacopetti. He was arrested five days later in Brentwood with the help of the U.S. Marshal Service. In a statement Thursday, police said Yacopetti was in a domestic relationship with the woman. The other victim was identified as her husband.On Wednesday, detectives presented the case to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, which in turn filed murder and attempted murder charges against Yacopetti.
