An attempted murder probe is underway
A Greater Manchester Police officer went in and out of consciousness after being 'deliberately' run over while out on a job. The officer had been responding to a domestic incident on Beech Road, in Sale , Trafford , at around 10.11pm on Sunday night .
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident. Another man, aged 30, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.Both men remain in custody for questioning this afternoon . Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Walton, of GMP's Trafford Criminal Investigation Department, said: “Our officers put themselves out there on the streets every day to keep our communities safe.
