Detectives believed the suspect was targeting Hispanic victims on East Washington Street.
CUMBERLAND, Indiana — An Indianapolis man wanted out of Marion and Hendricks counties was arrested Wednesday after police say he barricaded himself in a garage.on a report of a disturbance between a man and a woman. The woman alleged that the man had assaulted her and was possibly armed.
As officers began looking for the man, the woman allegedly became uncooperative with police. Police say the woman began giving officers false information regarding their identities. Roughly ten minutes later, police say the same woman called again saying the man was inside her house. Officers were still in the area and were able to respond quickly.
Cumberland police were then assisted by the Hancock County SWAT team. Police say the man was possibly armed as well.
