A man was fatally shot Thursday night in the Chatham neighborhood on Chicago's South Side.
The 41-year-old was found lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head around 11:37 p.m. in the 7600 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue, police said.
He was transported by paramedics to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. His identity has not yet been released by the Cook County medical examiner's office.All the news you need to know, every day
