Brandon Nobre collided with another motor and spun out of control.
Brandon Nobre, 23, initially collided with another car causing both to spin out of control on Glasgow's M8.His passengers - partner Piper O'Neill and friend Thomas Begbie - suffered injuries as a result.Nobre escaped with minor bruising.
He pled guilty today at Glasgow Sheriff Court to causing serious injury to Miss O'Neill by dangerous driving.Nobre overtook the first vehicle whose driver believed that he was going up to 100 miles per hour in the 40 zone.Nobre went on to undertake a third vehicle at speed.Prosecutor Sean Docherty said: "He collided with the rear offside of the van causing both vehicles to spin into the central Armco barrier causing extensive damage to both vehicles.
Mr Docherty said: "It was noted that Miss O'Neill sustained a fracture of her vertebrae within her spin."Mr Palc suffered a bruised tibia while Mr Begbie and Nobre suffered minor bruising."Nobre, of Durham, was disqualified from driving in the interim period.READ NEXT:
