WILLIAMSPORT – A New York City man who played a minor role in a scheme that used stolen identities to steal or attempt to steal $1.3 million worth of Sprint iPhones in 14 states has been sentenced to two years in federal prison.
The scheme, which was operated from January 2018 to July 2019, involved using stolen identities of 390 individuals with high credit scores to open Sprint accounts and order iPhones. Horace Henry, a Jamaican in the United States illegally, was identified as the leader of the operation in which 1,630 phones valued at $1.3 million were ordered.
