A MAN has hit out after he was charged more for parking than the price stated on an information sign.
He first arrived on the street at around 10am and parked outside Little Italy at 205 Byres Road.
Tony later returned to Byres Road at around 4pm that day and again paid £1.40 via RingGo for 15 minutes of parking. Tony, who owns Blitzkrieg Shop on London Road, initially contacted RingGo to ask for a refund but was told he had to contact Glasgow City Council directly. He said: “I told RingGo I wanted my money back because the information plate is the one that matters.
He continued: “They’ve been overcharging people for as long as that sign has been up and they should be cancelling parking tickets as well because they’ve been illegal. It is understood the top sign in the picture which states how people are able to pay for parking and the hours payment is required is the only one required by law.
