The 66-year-old was headed west on the eastbound side of the highway when he caused the four-vehicle crash, authorities said.
A Dauphin County man is dead after causing a four-vehicle crash Thursday night while driving the wrong way down Route 283, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The front end of Larson’s Elantra crashed into the front of a 36-year-old Hershey woman’s Ram Promaster 3500, causing the Ram to slide counter-clockwise, according to state police. State police said Larson kept driving west on Route 283 east after the initial crash and proceeded to crash head-on into a Chevrolet Trax, driven by a 57-year-old Middletown woman.
