Alan Parry, from Southport, shares his story of how he left his life in Baltimore to work with Cirque du Soleil and has been with them for 21 years.
But this was the reality for Alan Parry , from Southport , who was "seduced by the whole world" of Cirque du Soleil when it came to town. Alan was living in Baltimore in the US and working in event production at the time, when he was one of dozens of locals hired to work on the show.
"I knew if I didn’t take that chance I would regret that for the rest of my life. I was just so seduced by the whole world. The ECHO was invited behind the scenes of Cirque du Soleil's show Ovo as the team got ready for their premiere in France. The touring show is set to arrive in Liverpool from 11-14 April with five shows at the M&S Bank Arena.
"At the end of the night you feel accomplished. You leave feeling very good because you have shared this experience with all of these people in the room." "Circus is really interesting because you do find different people from different backgrounds. Circus families will have been born into a generational circus, so their parents will have run a circus and their grandparents will have run a circus.
